    Summary: The Production Supervisor provides direction and leadership support for site manufacturing activities to attain safety, cost, quality, and delivery goals. Manages available resources and leads associates to perform all departmental tasks in the most cost-effective manner while ensuring a quality product is processed according to schedule. This position will ensure the proper use of all Bodycote personnel systems and adherence to all regulatory requirements placed on the plant, as well as support the company's mission and values.
    Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following.
    • 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM Monday - Friday
    • Communicate (lead by example) Bodycote mission and values
    • Demonstrate support for company programs through words and actions
    • Develop associates through the effective use of training, personal engagement, and the Annual Performance Review process
    • Assure that objectives for safety, schedule attainment, quality, and productivity are met
    • Maintains fair and consistent application of all company policies and procedures
    • Assist plant leadership in driving and accomplishing key performance indicators
    • Resolve personnel issues or conflicts
    • Resolve product, process, and equipment issues
    • Plan and prioritize daily job assignments
    • Assist in the hiring process and new associate orientation
    • Perform job-related administrative duties (Epicor, Timecards, Associate Transactions, etc.)
    • Search out, recommend, and implement process improvements
    • Committed to personal growth and skill development
    • This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer's inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.

    Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
    • Education – High School diploma
    • Leadership and personnel supervision experience
    • Basic computer software skills
    • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all plant personnel
    • Ability to lead/facilitate team problem-solving
    • A positive approach to changing objectives and priorities
    • 4-year college degree preferred
    • Thermal spray experience, working knowledge of inspection methods, and knowledge of aerospace quality requirements are preferred.
    • Experience – 3-5 years manufacturing-related experience preferred
    Physical & Mental Demands: The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to the following.
    • Must be able to work in a sitting and standing position for extended periods of time in an office/industrial environment
    • Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions
    • Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions
    • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
    • May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, humidity, etc.
    • Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions
    • Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
    • Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
    • Ability to hear in person and via phone
