Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS), Support Administration's Bureau of Contracts and Compliance is seeking a hard-working, dedicated individual with a highly innovative and analytical mindset to help us ensure service providers in our community effectively support our county's residents and vulnerable populations.

    DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis Field Auditor 3 position assists the compliance manager in developing fiscal compliance work programs to be used for the review of provider compliance with county and state financial requirements and new regulations.

    This includes assisting compliance officers in conducting on-site monitoring reviews, resolving complications that arise during site visits, and ensuring work papers comply with industry standards.


    Other responsibilities include supervising accurate and complete certified audit review, reviewing certified audit reconciliations, and monitoring training and qualifications for compliance officers.

    You will also have the opportunity review and monitor misuse of funds and to assist compliance managers with providing guidance and training to staff on all relevant DHS, county, state, and federal regulations and policies.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:
    Full-time employmentWork hours are generally 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
    Scheduled hours can vary depending on the needs of the regional office.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and

    Training Requirements:
    One year of experience as a Field Auditor II;


    orFour years of experience in progressively responsible auditing or accounting work, including one year of supervisory or advanced auditing experience; and graduation from high school, supplemented by six credit hours of post high school courses in accounting.

    Additional training in accounting, business administration or a related field including six credit hours in accounting may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to two years of the required experience;

    orThree years of experience in progressively responsible accounting or auditing work, including one year of supervisory or advanced auditing experience, and one and one-half years of college level work, including or supplemented by six credit hours in accounting;

    orTwo years of experience in progressively responsible accounting or auditing work, including one year of supervisory or advanced auditing experience, and a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university;

    orAny equivalent combination of experience and training
