    Responsibilities

    Ascension St. John Hospital is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine physician.

    This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension St. John Hospital as Internal Medicine Faculty for the Department of Medicine.


    Position Highlights:

    • Full-time employed opportunity

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Coordinate resident assignments, schedules, call coverage, morning report, noon conferences.
    • Participates in recruitment, orientation, teaching and supervision of residents.
    • Coordinates board review courses.
    • Conducts rounds and morbidity/mortality conferences.
    • Assists in research activities.
    • Performs a variety of administrative duties as defined by Chief of Medicine, Program Director and Associate Program Director; committee participation, recruitment, business and community development, outreach, education and leadership activities.
    Requirements


    Licensure/Certification/Registration:

    Required Credential(s):

    • Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.

    Preferred Credential(s):

    • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).

    Education:

    • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.
    Additional Preferences


    • BE/BC Internal Medicine.
