    Description:

    Responsible for pulling all finish goods from the production lines, packing and processing orders for shipping out via parcel carrier or truck and receiving products and supplies.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Coordinates the activities of subordinates. Reviews difficult or complex work procedures to resolve questions presented by workers.

    Assist with physical inventory ensures accurate, up-to-date records of inventory in warehouse and daily operations; completes necessary forms or paperwork for documentation.

    Assist in warehouse layout and oversees rearranging process. Authorizes special orders within procedural and established limits.

    Oversees and participates in counting, weighing and measuring incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.

    Inspect finished products after production, examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify; fills out appropriate forms or documents.

    Fills orders and issues materials and supplies per requests to the production lines; documents transactions, prepares requisitions; keeps records of warehouse inventory.

    Follow packaging and labeling FDA instructions when required. Shrink wrap finished goods. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Assist in training other employees in how to pack and ship products.

    Identify process improvements that will lead to greater efficiencies in the production operations.


    Provide input to the Production Supervisor on ways to improve the shipping areas to be more economical to pick and ship from.

    Works at different workstations as needs require.

    Other duties assigned by Production Supervisor and Plant Mgr.

    Job requirement: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.     High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to interface with management regarding duties and future development of department. Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and averaging.

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.


    • Work with hazardous materials safely.
    • Work independently without continuous supervision.
