    The Member Services Associate at the Stephens Family YMCA responds to member and guest needs and promotes memberships and programs.

    As part of the member services team, the Member Services Associate maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSupport the work of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

    Provide excellent customer service to members, guests and program participants in person at the YMCA and on the phone.
    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIESProvide information on all membership opportunities along with tours of our facility.

    Provide information on all programs offered at the Stephens Family YMCA.Process registrations for memberships (including taking photo IDs) and programs.

    Complete building opening and closing procedures in a secure and timely manner.


    Manage cash drawer:
    ensure cash drawer security, receipt transactions and perform end-of-shift close out procedures.

    Operate phone system (answer incoming calls, respond to questions, transfer calls, take messages, etc...)Greet and engage all members verifying active membership status and ensure all guests have been verified in Raptor before entering facility.

    Complete office duties including filing, photocopying, typing, cleaning, etc...Stay informed of daily information including changes to membership, programs, schedules and/or policies as presented in Outlook (email and calendar).Learn and utilize Daxco operations system.

    Arrive on time for scheduled shifts. Inform supervisor in a timely manner of planned absences and find a replacement for scheduled hours.
    Make sound judgements in emergency situations.
    Complete incident and accident reports as needed and submit to Membership Director.
    Attend all required staff meetings.
    Perform other duties as assigned.
    QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of Stephens Family YMCA Policies and ProceduresExcellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
    Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds.
    Previous customer service, sales or related experience.
    Basic knowledge of computers.
