    We are seeking an experienced audit manager to be a critical part of our audit practice in our Dallas office.

    A day in the life of an audit supervisor or manager

    You will be responsible for overseeing engagements in the insurance, not-for-profit, and employee benefit plan industries. Coach and develop people by sharing knowledge with team members. You will work in the office managing projects and engagements profitably by leading your teams to perform efficiently. You might even be researching a complex accounting topic for your client. Alternatively, you might be meeting up to lead your audit team at your clients office where you will work directly with the controller, CFOs and CEOs as a trusted advisor. At the conclusion of an audit, you may be asked to report directly to the audit committee or board of directors. You will have the opportunity to participate in business development meetings and be mentored to cultivate and manage prospective audit clients.

    The job requires
    • a bachelors degree in accounting or a related field
    • a CPA license and 5 years of experience in public accounting
    • the ability to self-direct, effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines
    • previous experience supervising and training staff
    • excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
