Join our community and experience Emerson CollegeThe Healing & Advocacy Collective Program & Marketing Coordinator plays a role in supporting the H&A space, workshops, projects, communication and marketing initiatives aimed at fostering a shared understanding of social justice, healing, and advocacy at Emerson College.
By enhancing visibility and engagement through strategic outreach, along with various creative and organizational activities, the Program & Marketing Coordinator significantly contributes to community building and advocacy endeavors.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIESFoster a deeper understanding and engagement with the Healing & Advocacy Collective through coordinating outreach events and creating marketing materials.
Use digital design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite to craft engaging data visualization, including charts, plots, infographics, videos, and animations to communicate data and insights related to social justice, healing, and advocacy within the Emerson community.
Enhance the visibility of the Healing & Advocacy Collective through graphic design of poster campaign, event flyers, social media posts, videos, marketing and outreach materials.
Represent the Healing & Advocacy Collective at open houses, organization fairs, and other activities to increase awareness of the Collective Assist with planning and supporting event coordination by preparing venues with the necessary supplies, actively participating in event activities, overseeing efficient setup and breakdown processes, and ensuring thorough cleanup post-event.
Design and offer art/craft activities (e.g. coloring, collaging, painting, knitting) for students, staff, and faculty as part of Healing & Advocacy's Healing Workshop Series and workshopsCoordinate the library and other resource materials that Healing & Advocacy offers the Emerson community about healing, social justice, and wellnessGreet students, staff, and faculty upon their arrival at the Healing & Advocacy Collective space, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere and providing essential administrative support, such as copying and filing tasks.Ensure the office environment remains orderly and inviting through consistent tidying and organizing.
Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
Graduate degree in Strategic Marketing Communication, Communications, or Marketing preferred.2-4 years' experience in visual data communication and graphic design required.
Experience in marketing programs and proficiency in using graphic design tools, including Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, as well as fluency in data visualization and communication design programs like Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and Photoshop required.
