As the Vice President of Digital Product Management and Strategy for the Power Generation and Oil & Gas business at GE Digital, you'll sit at the intersection of product and strategy, leading a team of nearly 30 individuals.

    You'll oversee both mature products that enable affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy, as well as identify products to incubate that will support our net-zero future.

    This role reports to the General Manager of the business and is a member of the cross-functional leadership team responsible for driving sustainable growth and financial success

    Job DescriptionPrimary responsibilities:


    Lead and develop a high-performance Product Management organization with the right mix of technical understanding, business acumen, strategic thinking, and communication skills.

    Be a talent multiplier by developing talent and creating a talent funnel for the broader organization.

    Drive an execution culture rooted in Lean principles and adhering to corporate values.

    Oversee the development and delivery of a comprehensive product investment strategy and roadmap, and the management of the full product lifecycle across incubation, transformation, performance, and productivity phases.


    Ensure the product portfolio meets customer and market requirements based on ongoing customer feedback, is competitively differentiated, and achieves financial targets for orders, sales, and profitability.

    Lead the cross-functional development and implementation of long-term strategies for the business that meet financial objectives, leveraging insights on industry and customer trends, anticipating complex challenges and opportunities, and ensuring integration with broader corporate strategy.

    Ensure effective communication and execution of strategy across the business to deliver to targets.

    Serve as a member of the Leadership Team for the business, building strong peer relationships and contributing to cross-functional problem solving, to drive continuous improvement and profitable growth.

    Serve as a thought leader for the business in the industry, including interacting with analysts, speaking at events, and being active in industry associations to influence policy and market trends.


    Basic Qualifications:


    Bachelor's Degree, MBA PreferredA minimum of 15 years of professional experienceA minimum of 10 years of experience in the software industryA minimum of 8 years of experience in Product Management/Strategy leadershipDemonstrated technical, commercial, strategic, and financial acumen.

    Proven track-record of delivering targeted results and driving profitable growth

    Desired Characteristics:
    Experience working in either Power Generation or Oil and Gas industries.

    Track record of seeing ahead to future possibilities and translating those insights into breakthrough strategies, evangelizing concepts beyond current offerings, and driving business model innovation (product, service, and delivery innovations).Experience in the use of Lean tools to plan, organize, prioritize, and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives and drive continuous improvement.

    Proven organizational leadership of teams, including direct reports and matrix organizations, setting goals and objectives so priorities are clear throughout the organization.

    Able to drive actions to coordinate and align on strategic goals.
    Experience in making sense of complex and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems. Can assemble information into a cohesive and sophisticated understanding of complex issues.

    Ability to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey clear and concise understanding of the unique needs of different stakeholders of the business.

    Critical thinking skills and disciplined approaches to help leaders and leadership teams resolve issues and define solutions.

    Ability to make good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward, including tough decisions and difficult trade-offs, skillfully balancing analysis with decisiveness.
