    OPEN POSITION:
    Medical Assistant


    SCHEDULE:
    - Part-Time
    - 2 Saturdays per Month
    - 8:00am to 5:00pm
    - 1-Hour Lunch Break


    COMPENSATION:
    $25 per Hour


    LOCATION:
    - San Francisco, California
    - Mission District


    COMPANY PROFILE:
    This passionate, mission-driven organization is a long-standing presence in the Bay Area healthcare market with offices in San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland. Their locations are spacious, modern buildings with comfortable areas dedicated to each medical provider and amenities such as a partner pharmacy and lab. Appproximately 95% of their patients are Spanish-speaking and their mission is to deliver the most affordable, high quality healthcare possible to the local Hispanic community.


    POSITION DESCRIPTION:
    The new medical assistant will support one provider (a nurse practitioner or physician assistant) who is seeing patients of all ages for primary care and non-acute needs.

    The job duties include, but are not limited to:

    room and prep patients for exams and procedures
    - phlebotomy
    - follow-up phone calls
    - patient scheduling
    - assist with phones, filing, etc.

    The provider and medical assistant see an average of 15 to 20 patients per day, although some days are lower volume.

    The services of the practice include, but are not limited to:

    routine primary care
    - annual physicals
    - sports physicals
    - sick visits
    - chronic condition management
    - B12 injections

    The clinic uses an EHR and has a dedicated pharmacy and lab.

    Approximately 95% of patients are Spanish-speaking and the new medical assistant must be fluent in Spanish.

    This is a part-time role working 2 Saturday shifts per month. The Saturday shifts will be scheduled 1-2 months in advance in collaboration with the primary care provider.


    REQUIREMENTS:
    - certified or registered medical assistant
    - completion of an accredited medical assistant program
    - 6+ months of medical assistant experience preferred
    - new graduates considered on an individual basis
    - must speak Spanish fluently
