- Assist in the preparation of monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and supporting schedules for all joint ventures
- Preparation of general ledger entries and account reconciliations through the month and at month, quarter, and year-end
- Record invoices and initiate payments to vendors
- Tracking and analysis of AP and AR accounts by vendor/customer
- Preparation of bank reconciliations and posting of transactional entries
- Maintain schedule of fixed assets, depreciation, additions, transfers, and sales on monthly basis
- Assist with analysis of financial statements and report variances throughout the month, at month end, and year-end
- Communication with joint venture partners to answer questions and provide support as requested
- Assist internal and external auditors with requested information throughout the year and year-end
- Analysis of revenue and expenses for appropriate allocation
- Preparation of ad hoc reports and financial analyses as requested by management
- Communication and coordination with team members from other functional areas within Regional One
- Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred
- Minimum two years of experience working in Corporate in the General Ledger or related function
- QuickBooks experience is highly desired
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and reconcile accounts
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels to maximize results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Initiative-taking and ability to work independently

Job DescriptionOverview
This position reports to the Accounting Supervisor and is primarily responsible for recording transactional entries and maintaining accurate financial statements and supporting schedules for the company's joint ventures. The Staff Accountant prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information. This position maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions.
