    /Job Summary


    SUMMARY
    Performs any duties necessary to ensure accurate inventory quantities and maintain a clean/ organized parts warehouse.

    Responsibilities/Duties


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES
    Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Puts away stock order parts.

    Posts parts throughout the day from GM, A&L, Full Service, etc.

    Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the parts warehouse.

    Loads and unloads delivery and freight trucks.

    Operates forklift.

    Logs incoming and outgoing items.

    Notifies appropriate parties when special order parts arrive.

    Updates electronic parts files.

    Reviews data to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock.

    Assists in preparing for/ assisting in annual parts inventory.

    Assists in annual parts returns.

    Maintains a professional appearance.

    Performs additional duties as assigned.

    Required Skills


    LANGUAGE SKILLS
    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and situations to clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.


    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
    Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.


    REASONING ABILITY
    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Required Experience


    EXPERIENCE
    Six months to one-year automotive facility parts department related experience.

    Required Education


    EDUCATION
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
