    The Program Specialist is responsible for coordinating, engaging in, and providing oversight of projects, budgets, processes, and the policies and procedures essential to the success of global and departmental programs.

    Overview

    The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a new and growing department looking for professionals who are eager to help implement the mission of taking St. Jude to the world by training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research.

    Responsibilities

    The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) at St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital (SJCRH) is seeking a Program Specialist to support the St. Jude Global Clinical Training Programs. This key team member will act as a liaison with other members of Global Pediatric Medicine, St. Jude collaborators, and global trainees. The ideal candidate would be eager to help develop and grow programs in clinical training in support of the St. Jude Global strategic vision.

    The Program Specialist-Professional Education, Global Clinical Training Programs is responsible for:

    • Assist in ensuring compliance to guidelines and policies issued by the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-International (ACGME-I), and local oversight and accrediting bodies.
    • Serving as a liaison between the Director of Professional Education, Global Clinical Training Program Manager, St. Jude Global Regional Program Directors, fellows, faculty, GME Office and external agencies (ACGME-I).
    • Assisting in developing and adapting assessment tools for clinical competencies for fellow evaluation.
    • Assisting in recruiting new fellows, including ranking, selection, and stipends.
    • Maintaining all statistical reports and fellow-related confidential information.
    • Assisting in collection and analysis of data related to fellowship program outcomes, quality improvements, and quality assurance.
    • Assist in developing and implementing standardized tools, frameworks, and metrics to ensure execution of project deliverables.
    • Assist in maintaining and tracking project timelines and deliverables, including updating relevant data and project records.
    • Facilitating communication and implementation of initiatives with global collaborators.
    • Facilitating written and spoken discussions in live meetings, presentations, and email/written communications.
    • Ensuring alignment amongst SJCRH, GPM, and St. Jude Global strategic plans and missions.

    Minimum Education

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
    • Master's degree preferred.

    Minimum Experience

    • Minimum Requirement: 1+ years of experience in program coordination.
    • Some experience/knowledge in working with project planning tools like MS Project, Microsoft SharePoint, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Clarity, Planview, MS Office is a plus.
    • Coordination of graduate medical education programs (residency or fellowship) accredited by ACGME preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects/work initiatives.
    • Proficiency in Spanish highly preferred

    Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

    • Ability to create reports and presentations, including data visualizations.
    • Experience with project management methodologies.
    • Strong communication skills with ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with diverse team members.
    • Flexibility in schedule to accommodate online meetings across different time zones (early morning and evenings).
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Consistent attention to detail.
    • Adaptable problem-solving skills, ability to analyze and synthesize new information quickly.
    • Cultural sensitivity.

    Compensation

    In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $60,320 - $105,040 per year for the role of Program Specialist - Professional Education, Global Clinical Training Program.
