    Community Mentor

    The Community Mentor provides leadership to the organization ensuring the mission, vision and values of the organization are supported and carried out according to the objectives and policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors and the rules and regulations of the state. The Community Mentor participates in planning, organizing, directing and facilitating the operations of all households and supportive functions of the organization to ensure the regulatory and fiscal viability of the organization, nurture person centered culture and resident direction, strengthen the ability of households to grow as separate effective homes, and promote individual and team learning.
    Minimal Education:Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Nursing Administration, Gerontology or Business Administration preferred.
    Minimal Experience:Three years of experience as in setting providing care for the elderly or continuing care retirement community.Specialized training or experience in geriatric social work, gerontology or other long term care health profession is desired.
    Other Qualifications:Current North Carolina Nursing Home Administrator license in good standing.Must meet regulatory requirements for licensure as nursing home administrator in home state.Will comply with all federal and state regulatory requirements to maintain licensure as health care administrator. Previous supervisory experience preferred.Must have demonstrated leadership qualities, supervisory skills, interpersonal relationship skills, practical business and accounting knowledge and knowledge of federal and state regulations governing employment and administration. Commitment to person-centered and resident directed care is essential.
