Job Summary:
JOB SUMMARY
Full time research assistant needed to join psychiatry laboratory using neuroimaging and cognitive testing to understand brain dysfunction in psychosis.
Under direct supervision, the Research Assistant will be responsible for recruiting research subjects into various clinical research studies and assisting investigators in the collection and analysis of study data.
The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and capable of working independently.
Individuals interested in mental health, the biological basis of mental disorders, neuropsychology and/or neuroscience, and neuroimaging are especially encouraged to apply.
The position requires a high level of interpersonal skills, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field (i.e. neuroscience) and 2 years related experience required. Experience in a clinical research setting is highly desirable. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential. Experience using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) is preferred. Training in diagnostic interviewing methods, cognitive testing, and neuroimaging data analysis will be provided.
