    Description
    Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician
    Shift:
    • This is a part-time role, 20 hours a week, with shifts from 12 pm to 4 pm, Monday to Friday.

    Job Summary:

    The Sterile Processing Technician collaborates with the Nurse Manager to ensure the proper decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment while following strict infection control protocols.


    Job Responsibilities:
    • Assesses daily surgical caseload to determine required anesthesia equipment and supplies, optimizing efficiency in the Surgical Center.
    • Conducts thorough cleaning and sterilization of anesthesia and O.R. equipment and instruments.
    • Ensures appropriate handling and storage of supplies and equipment as per manufacturers' guidelines.
    • Distributes supplies to various areas within the facility, maintaining adequate stock levels.
    • Manages inventory by placing orders for necessary supplies.
    • Performs High-Level Disinfection/Sterilization of instruments and endoscopes from the Sterile Core Center.
    Skills:

    The ideal candidate showcases proficiency in basic computer skills.
