    Our client a leading commercial general contractor specializing in ground-up construction projects, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join their dynamic team in San Antonio, Texas. With a focus on commercial, retail, grocery stores, and healthcare projects ranging from $5 to $15 million, they're dedicated to delivering high-quality, on-time, and within-budget solutions for their clients.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Project Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success. Oversee the entire construction process, from pre-construction planning to project completion.
    2. Budget Management: Manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial goals and cost control measures. Evaluate and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors to achieve competitive pricing.
    3. Timeline Management: Monitor project timelines and milestones, making adjustments as necessary to ensure on-time completion. Implement effective scheduling and sequencing of construction activities.
    4. Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control standards to ensure work meets or exceeds project specifications. Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any potential issues.
    5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
    6. Client Communication: Foster strong relationships with clients through regular communication and updates. Address client concerns promptly and professionally.
    7. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, including site staff, subcontractors, and vendors. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management, specifically with commercial general contractors.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing ground-up construction projects in the $5 to $15 million range.
    • Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
