    JOB SUMMARY
    As part of our recent growth, we are seeking an experienced Deburr Technician professional to join our team.

    The ideal candidate will identify and pull correct material identified on a manufacturing order, blend mismatches and break edges per drawing and specification requirements using hand and power tools and deliver finished material to other work areas, and complete detailed work order.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

    • Position part (s) on worktable clamps as needed
    • Deburr, sand, hand-scrape, mechanical-polish, sand blast and clean parts.
    • Utilize production work orders, documents, drawings, and specifications, written or oral instructions to perform tasks necessary to meet production requirements.
    • Identify and report defective equipment, materials, and faulty operations to lead/supervisor.
    • Maintain written and Visual Manufacturing records.
    • Perform first part inspection and in process inspections for conformity to specifications.
    • Identify root causes and corrective action for quality problems.
    • Mentor and assist in training of other Deburr Technicians
    • Maintain equipment and work area on a daily basis in a clean and orderly condition
    • Follow prescribed work rules and standard safety regulations at all times.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Ability to use basic hand tooling
    • Ability to take direction from lead and supervisor to complete assigned tasks
    • Knowledge of and ability to apply basic mathematical skills to the work environment (such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions and decimals)
    • Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and other inspection gauges
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions noted on blueprints and work instructions
    • Ability to identify, organize, estimate and recognize differences or similarities with excellent attention to detail
    • Ability to identify hazardous materials and working conditions and apply the proper safety precautions and PPE.
    • Ability to communicate information clearly and directly co-workers and supervisory personnel both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships.
    • Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    • Ability to read, write, communicate and/or follow written and verbal instructions in English.
    • Ability to communicate in English through voice, or American Sign Language or adaptive technology.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE


    • High school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years' experience with technical deburr, aerospace drawings, and specifications or equivalent education/experience.

    SALARY PAY RANGE
    Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Skills Inc. is a self-supporting Social Enterprise and is organized as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit.

    We have four lines of business; Aerospace Manufacturing, Aerospace Finishing, Technical Services, and Business Solutions, that operate in 3 locations.
