    Description

    Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.


    Position Details:


    Mercy Fort Smith's Med Surg Service Line is made up of 8 specialty units that will provide experience with patient populations with a varying range of diagnoses and care needs.

    Functionally, these units house and care for patients who are preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions.


    While you will have a "home unit", we cross-train our nurses between the various specialties to provide a strong foundational knowledge of all types of patient conditions, comorbidities, procedures, etc.

    Whether you are a new grad nurse looking to build a strong base before launching into your future career/educational plans or an experienced nurse who enjoys variety in their everyday work, Med Surg is the place for youQualifications:Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure

    Licensure:
