- Works within a multi-disciplinary care team to provide patient-centered obstetric and gynecologic care. Provides patient care to approximately 20 patients per full day of clinic. Provides clinical leadership within the team.
- Works within our call team of FM-OB and OB-Gyn physicians. Monitors and treats patients during pregnancy and childbirth, including delivery and postnatal care.
- Expected patient care includes
- Outpatient clinic
- Inpatient Labor call
- GYN surgery and surgical follow-up
- OB Backup
- Participates in organizational mission to provide distinctively Christian healthcare
- Participates in continuing medical education, including Life Support Training, to maintain the skills necessary to perform physician duties and as required by applicable medical boards and the State.
- Documents all patient encounters in a timely manner in hospital and/or clinic health record.
- Communicates across departments including behavioral and spiritual health. 10. Attends staff meetings and medical provider meetings and maintain a level of involvement with the health center committees as needed to ensure quality of care for patients.
- Physicians are to participate in peer review, performance evaluations/improvement data, and other activities to evaluate and advance quality improvement measures.
- Collaborate with and supervises nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) as appropriate, and may assist in the educational training of Medical Students and Residents.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Doctor of medicine or osteopathy degree from an accredited institution of medicine or osteopathy
Experience:
Completion of residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Licenses or Certifications:
Board Certification (or eligible) in obstetrics and gynecology; State licensure to practice medicine in the state of Tennessee.
