    Job Summary:

    Join us as a Program Manager in Bloomfield, Connecticut, overseeing the development and execution of engine, generator set, and aircraft programs. We seek a self-driven, problem-solving leader with excellent time-management skills for this dynamic, fast-paced role.

    Responsibilities:

    • Project Delivery: Ensure timely, in-budget project completion, meeting customer satisfaction and contractual requirements.
    • Client Interaction: Act as the primary client contact, understanding expectations and fostering strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Program Management: Lead development programs from concept to launch, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance teams for program success.
    • Project Planning: Define objectives, scope, and deliverables, creating detailed project plans with timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
    • Progress Monitoring: Monitor project progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies for on-time and on-budget delivery.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Be the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
    • Program Reviews: Conduct regular program reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
    • Supplier Relationships: Foster strong ties with external suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of components.
    • Innovation Integration: Stay informed about the latest technology trends, incorporating innovative solutions into program development.
    • Performance Measurement: Track and communicate progress, measuring performance for presentation to clients and internal teams.
    • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred. Program management certification a plus.
    • 5-7 years of program management experience, with 3-5 years in leadership roles, specifically in complex system development projects.
    • In-depth knowledge of the development process related to program management.
    • Strong project management skills, with a track record of managing complex projects successfully.
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with effective communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Solid understanding of quality management systems and adherence to regulatory requirements.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Microsoft Project.
