    Position Summary

    The Global Young Adult Ministry Director will oversee all aspects of the Young Adult Ministry focusing on the demographic in age group 18-35 for members and attenders of Zion Church. This position will be responsible for continuing to develop, strategize, and implement the vision of Zion Church for this demographic. The Young Adult Ministry Director will be responsible for providing spiritual leadership, guidance, and support to young adults across all campuses. The individual selected will play a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant and dynamic young adult community within the church, helping them grow in their faith, develop a deeper relationship with Christ, and navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with this stage of life.

    Essential Duties

    • Provides spiritual guidance, mentorship, and care for young adults, assisting them in developing a strong foundation in their faith and encouraging a deeper understanding of God's Word.
    • Gives leadership and oversight to the Young Adult Ministry Campus Leads who serve at each campus.
    • Collaborates with the Life Group Department to oversee small groups tailored to young adults, creating opportunities for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship fostering a sense of community and belonging within these groups.
    • Leads engaging and relevant worship experiences and events specifically designed to meet the needs and interests of young adults. (This may include but is not limited to worship services, retreats, seminars, social gatherings, and service projects.)
    • Develops strategies to reach out to young adults within the local community, inviting them to participate in the ministry and introducing them to the love of Christ.
    • Works collaboratively with other department leaders and staff to integrate young adults into the broader church community and encourage intergenerational connections.
    • Identifies potential leaders among young adults and provides opportunities for training and equipping them for various leadership roles within the ministry and the church.
    • Handles administrative tasks related to the ministry, such as budgeting, event planning, communication, and record-keeping.
    • Serves on the global team in support of the vision and core values of Zion Church.
    • Invests continuously in personal and professional growth, staying informed about relevant theological, cultural, and social issues affecting young adults.

    Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills

    • A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to ministry, particularly in young adult discipleship and care.
    • Proven experience in leading and developing young adult ministries, either within a church or para-church organization.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to and connect with young adults from diverse backgrounds.
    • A passion for fostering spiritual growth, authenticity, and community among young adults.
    • Strong organizational and leadership abilities, capable of managing teams, resources, and programs effectively.
    • Proficient in using technology and social media platforms for ministry outreach and communication.
