    Description

    Summary:

    The Operations Specialist is responsible for improving operation accuracy by daily reporting, goal analysis and reconciliation of customer and Company system discrepancies.

    Also responsible for improving operations efficiency by analyzing product picking activities, recommending product locations in warehouse and ensuring warehouse employees are following the correct process and operational standards for picking.


    Job Duties:
    Collects and maintains daily and weekly data on receiving/shipping objectivesAnalyzes receiving/shipping data and reports to customer daily projection against goalsDaily reconciles receiving and shipping EDI feeds between the Company's warehouse management system (Synapse) and the customer's system (SAP)

    Troubleshoots system discrepancies with internal and external Inventory ControlInterfaces with customer by e-mail, telephone and on-site visitsCreates reports of product picking activities to identify high volumesRecommends efficient relocation of high volume products for easy access by pickersSpends part of shift on the floor auditing the aislesCompletes at least 10 spot audits throughout the shift; all employees with an error for the previous day must receive a spot auditEnsures all pick lines are in good working condition, to include:
    no "no-pick signs" are left up, no pallets in the aisles, no locations pyramid picked, no damages in pick aisles and no LP's on the racksEnsures all locations are prepped to pick UOM and in a white bin in clusterWrites up all discrepancies from the aisles found at the start of the shift and provide feedback to previous shiftOther duties as required and assigned Requirements:High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalentMinimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with warehouse systems (Synapse and SAP preferred)

    Experience with Microsoft Office, including ExcelAbility to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosAbility to write simple reports and correspondenceAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formEnvironment:

    While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

    The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

    This position will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and can be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside weather conditions.
