Hey UpworkWe're working on a YouTube Histories Series exploring the years 3000 BC to 0 BC.
We are looking for a skilled Map Editor to create visual depictions of the ANCIENT WORLD, exploring all of the ancient empires around the globe.
The Maps will include these historically accurate aspects:
- Empires
- People (kings, generals, etc)
- Boats / Travel
- Battles (things like locations on fire, trails of armies, etc)
- Trade

We want someone who specializes with map animation / geolayers.
Research is a key factor as the video will explore multiple empires, locations, and events.
You must ensure that the map/land is accurate for the date.
The way how this project works is, we have 180 audios (most just 1-2 sentences long) that need map visuals.
AMOUNT OF LOCATIONS - 50 (each location has a few maps each)
AMOUNT OF MAPS - 180 individual maps (however, most are just 1-2 sentences long)
DURATION - 31 minutes of Map Visuals total
Altogether, these 180 audios are spread across 6 Milestones for you to complete.
The pay rate is $40 USD per minute, but some audios are longer/shorter than others, so we will just total everything as seen below.

We make many other documentaries and a map editor is always needed so this could become long-term work with more videos afterwards.
We will move forward with a PAID TRIAL for 1 scene.Before the paid trial, a call to discuss the project will take place.
