    The Hotel Zamora is a luxury boutique hotel that boasts Mediterranean-inspired architecture, stunning views of the Intracoastal Waterway, and top-notch amenities. The Hotel Zamora is also home to Castile Restaurant, that serves dishes inspired by the flavors of the world's most exciting coastal seaports, highlighting products from surrounding farms and fishing areas.     The Host / Hostess plays a major role in the hotel's Food & Beverage experience. The Spirit to Serve is a key element in a positive customer experience. This position is responsible for greeting guests at the door. The host/hostess seats and presents clean menus to guests in a friendly, professional and quick manner

    Essential Functions

    • Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of any specials
    • Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed guests' expectations
    • Runs the floor plan board
    • Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables
    • Takes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available
    • Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host area
    • Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant
    • Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience
    • Maintains specific side-work and ensures the cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant
    • Quickly clears and resets tables
    • Maintains restaurant, bar, and restroom space cleanliness restrooms throughout shift
    • Sweeps foyer and front entrance area frequently
    • Fills to-go orders, if applicable
    • Knows when to escalate situations for management intervention
    • Completes other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs

    Minimum Requirements

    • Previous hotel/hospitality or related service industry experience is strongly preferred
    • Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multilingual environment
    • A passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman Associates
    • Schedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotel
