- Our client has a couple Biology roles that are Contract-to-Hire, in their lab in Pittsburgh, PA (onsite)
- A research scientist in the ion channel pharmacology team will utilize multiple modern techniques to expand our understanding of ion channel pharmacology and guide our ion channel-focused drug discovery efforts.
- This is a full-time contract position located in Pittsburgh, PA reporting to the Associate Director of ion channel pharmacology.
- Skilled in manual patch-clamp electrophysiology, automated patch-clamp electrophysiology (APC) or multielectrode array (MEA) techniques.
- Solid background in mammalian cell culture, neuronal cultures, tissue harvesting and dissection of various brain regions.
- BS/MS degree in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Cell Biology, or a related discipline with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in in vitro pharmacology in academia/biotech/pharma.
- Conduct tissue culture, including recombinant cell lines, primary neurons, and Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC)-neurons.
- Implement whole-cell patch-clamp, APC, or multielectrode array (MEA) assays for pharmacological characterization of small molecules.
