    Description

    A Systems Security Engineer Embedded Systems job is currently available at Belcan in Indianapolis. This is a full time, direct job with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have minimum 4 years' experience and Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other related discipline. You will be supporting projects related to engine controls software for airborne platforms. The projects you will support include developing thermal and power management systems for directed energy, advanced VTOL technology, turbine technologies for Mach 5 flight, and infrared suppressors.

    Systems Security Engineer Embedded Systems job duties:

    · Collaborate with our customers, their clients, supply-chain, and industry experts to enhance cyber security capability and tools for customer programs.

    · Determine the technology and processes required to meet embedded system product requirements for system security against cyber operational threats.

    · Support implementation of system security work scope for customer programs, including task planning, requirements implementation, risk assessments tools and methods, and associated product lifecycle deliverables.

    · Review existing product designs and development plans for cyber security related work scope gaps and implementation to meet contract requirements

    · Develop, communicate, and ultimately drive cyber security best practices to product teams and design teams to enable adoption and implementation.

    · Coordinate with the cyber security capability team to improve the techniques, policies, procedures, and knowledge to enable us to implement best practices across the business.

    Qualifications:

    · Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is required

    · Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Electrical, Systems, Controls or equivalent) with 4+ years' experience supporting embedded systems or master's degree with 2+ years' experience in embedded systems.

    · Proven Systems engineering aptitude and/or systems engineering experience, preferably developing embedded systems

    Experience in applications of secure cyber resilient engineering

    Experience with threat modeling methodologies

    · Working knowledge of security risk management frameworks

    · Strong interpersonal skills to enable team engagement, representation to customers and influence product teams to develop, implement, and secure embedded systems

    · Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic hybrid work environment, including virtual teams

    Desired but not required skills:

    · Working knowledge of supply chain management principles

    Familiarity with emerging Cybersecurity technologies

    Experience in application of URAMS, STRIDE, PASTA and STPA-Sec

    · Familiarity with industry guidance and industry standards such as DO-326A, DO-356A and certification related project artifact development and project execution (including Stages of Involvement (SOI)).

    · Outcome focused engineer with good problem-solving abilities

    · Active Secret Security Clearance.

    · Ability to travel periodically

    We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $80,000 to $160,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
