    As part of the IT Strategic Initiative, DET is interested in attaining professional services to provide support for the Websphere service and applications for several state agencies like Client Assistance for Reemployment and Economic Support (CARES - Department of Health Services (DHS)), Department of Transportation (DOT) and Department of Children and Families (DCF)'s Web Platform Services which includes WebSphere and MQ applications.

    This professional services engagement is responsible for providing support for the Department of Transportation (DOT), Department of Corrections (DOC), Department of Health Service (DHS), Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Department of Children and Families (DCF) applications running on WebSphere and IBM WebSphere MQ.

    These services provide customers with the framework for running WebSphere Application Server (WAS), WebSphere Liberty, and WebSphere MQ in a secure environment at the Division of Enterprise Technology (DET) Data Center.

    Presently, there are numerous business applications that utilize these technologies which are critical to the Client for example, Client Assistance for Reemployment and Economic Support (CARES), Access to Eligibility Support Services (ACCESS), Contract Administration & Reporting System (CARS), Commercial Vehicle Info.

    Exchange Window (CVIEW), Electronic Version Of Motor Vehicle Forms (EMV) and Wisconsin Carrier Registration System (WISCRS), Wisconsin Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (eWisacwis), Wisconsin Asbestos and Lead Database Online (WALDO), Substance Abuse Prevention Services Information System (SAIS), Organ Donor, etc.

    The applications mentioned above will be supported by this professional services engagement and are used by local and/or state government agencies to provide services to citizens throughout the State.

    An outage to these systems can be detrimental to state and local government functions and/or their ability to provide service to the State's citizens.

    A Systems Administrator III is appropriate for this position because we rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, they perform a variety of complicated tasks, and a degree of creativity and latitude is expected.


    Responsibilities:
    Provide support for various departments' applications running on WebSphere and IBM WebSphere MQ
    Responsible for the installation, maintenance, support, and configuration of hardware and software
    Responsible for application deployments
    Maintain and update infrastructure documentation
    Complete implementation of security policies and filters associated with the tools
    Provide additional troubleshooting support
    Qualifications/Required


    Skills:
    Experience with installation, maintenance, administration and monitoring of the WebSphere Software in a multi-platform environment (Linux and Windows) (5)
    Ability to provide proactive resolution of problems and/or alerts received by various monitoring and management systems.
    Ability to provide resolution of connectivity problems, assisting users, and debugging problems.
    Hands-on technical experience in support of software tools such as WebSphere Application Server.
    Experience with a broad range of technical skills in support of all WebSphere customers.
    Training and/or experience with scripting tools such as Bash, Korn, and Jython.
    Knowledge of change management best practices in a complex hosting environment.
