- Develop novel methods and understanding of liquid droplet manipulation, using electrowetting.
- Interact with electrical and firmware engineers to design and test control systems from the groundup.
- Design and perform experiments to optimize electrowetting technology by exploring parameter space (hardware/electronics/control) which may include: electrode geometry and layout, control patterns, dielectric stackup.
- Lead materials selection for consumables (dielectrics, coatings).
- PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a relevant field, or masters degree and 14+ years of industry experience.
- Experience interfacing with multidisciplinary RD and engineering teams.
- Familiarity with fluid dynamics.
- Experience in the development of physicsbased models.
- Experience with electronics and control systems.
- Experience with PCB design.
- Development and prototyping of fluidics systems and consumables.
- Experience in research and development of electrowetting processes or platforms.
- Experience with characterization of polymer films and coatings.
