    American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Telemetry position at a 349-bed acute care Level 2 trauma teaching hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY, requiring a NY RN license and a minimum of 3 years of experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with weekend and holiday coverage as needed
    • 349-bed acute care teaching hospital designated as a Level 2 trauma center
    • Patient population includes general surgical, oncology, nephrology, and post-surgical cases
    • Float required to all M/S floors, ED hold, and Legacy Annex (Observation Unit)
    • Proficiency expected with chest tube setup and care, CPAP/BiPAP, trach care, drains, feeding tubes, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, PICC/central line management, Port-A-Cath/vascular device access and care, wound vac, telemetry interpretation, blood/blood product administration, and cooling/warming blankets
    • EMR: Cerner
    • Candidates who have previously worked at any Northwell/Nuvance Health location will require an eligibility review prior to consideration, which may add processing time
    • Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible to apply
    • Travelers will be required to complete onboarding modules in Northwell's iLearn platform prior to assignment start

    Requirements

    • Active, unrestricted NY RN license required; a screenshot or photo of a completed application is acceptable if the license is in process
    • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA certifications only accepted)
    • NIHSS certification required for this Telemetry/Stepdown position
    • Minimum 3 years of RN experience required; 5+ years preferred
    • Two professional references rated 'standard or above average' from a manager or above within the prior year, in the same specialty
