    Category Manager

    Orora Packaging Solutions is seeking a Category Manager to develop sourcing strategies for various Direct materials. This position will be responsible for driving, developing, and executing standard analyses
    across commodities to identify savings opportunities, and drive market research and insights. In this role, the Category Manager will develop and implement Category Strategy for distribution level businesses. You will play a key part in driving process improvement and delivering successful business results. You will lead the identification of Direct material suppliers that Orora can partner with, considering new solutions, technologies, and trends. You will lead the supplier management and Score carding of assigned suppliers within your category. You will be responsible to, improve, and sustain our Procurement processes. This
    position requires the ability to build and maintains strong working and collaborative relationships with internal customers and suppliers.

    This position reports to the Director of Procurement, Distribution

    Location: Hybrid (Dallas, TX., Atlanta, GA., Chicago, IL and/or Crandbury, NJ)

    Travel: Up to 10-15% or as needed

    What You'll be Responsible For

    • Evaluates, negotiates, and facilitates the execution of contracts, such as Non-Disclosure Agreements, Purchasing Agreements, Master Supply Agreements, and related supplier onboarding documents, for new
      suppliers.
    • Serves as the point of contact for Orora Coworkers, and Suppliers, for Procurement related activities in Distribution. Leads the resolution of requests, opportunities, and issues in a timely fashion.
    • Leads the management and resolution of supply risk for Direct material in Distribution.
    • Leads, improves, and sustains Procurement processes such as commodity strategies and supplier business reviews.
    • Leads, supports, and assists in the development and implementation of category plans and strategies for assigned categories.
    • Reviews and analyzes spend data to identify cost savings, supplier consolidation opportunities and to identify non-contracted spend.
    • Provides the evaluation of supplier quotations utilizing appropriate negotiation and sourcing analysis techniques and implementation of proper contracts with emphasis on quality, delivery, total cost, and
      service necessary to meet requirements.
    • Develops processes and tools to measure key performance indicators.
    • Extracts, analyzes and prepares reports to measure key supplier and internal performance-to-plan.
    • Develops, documents and implements processes and systems in support of company goals.
    • Identifies and implements improvements to streamline and automate process flows.
    • Distributes, updates and tracks procurement plans for supply chain integration and procurement analysis.
    • Assesses and reports compliance to internal/external stakeholders.
    • Leads supplier management process within assigned categories through business reviews and score carding to hold suppliers accountable.
    • Conducts and manages RFP's within categories to identify cost savings, consolidate spend, and drive rebate growth.
    What We're Looking For

    Education and Experience:
    • BS/BA Degree preferably in supply management, supply chain, or business.
    • Two or more years of prior Direct procurement sourcing experience, with knowledge of the full value chain including purchasing/supply management, supplier negotiations, savings opportunity
      identification, etc.
    • Must have experience with RFPs, RFQs, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
    Preferred Education and Experience:
    • Prior experience working in direct materials procurement in the packaging industry.
    Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Resolve and/or advance issues in a timely fashion
    • Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities
    • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
    • Exceptional proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint required
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively with people at all levels in an organization
    • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively - both verbally and in writing
    • Seek opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for change
    • Assist in developing, reviewing, and continuously improvement procurement processes
    • Ability to analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and identify solutions
