- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of concern.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized educational plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide counseling and guidance to students dealing with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Assist in the implementation of evidence-based interventions and strategies to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, provide recommendations, and ensure effective support services.
- Collaborate with community resources and agencies to provide additional support to students and families as needed.
- Serve as a resource for teachers and staff, offering guidance and professional development on topics related to mental health, learning disabilities, and behavioral interventions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress reports.
- Stay abreast of current research, trends, and best practices in the field of school psychology.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in Illinois.
- Proven experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting (preferably in a K-12 environment).
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with special education laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software for assessment and data analysis.
