    Description

    Job Description

    Working under supervision, this role involves creating construction drawings for underground and aerial utility installations.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Proficiency in AutoCAD or 2D AutoCAD, knowledge of Outside Plant buried and aerial design, including line selection, manholes/handholes locations, conduit, microduct, cable design for fiber optics, make-ready engineering, and poles
    • Experience in Outside Plant utility designs, public right-of-way, private easements, researching existing utilities such as water, sewer, electric, gas
    • Familiarity with encroachment permits from city, county, state, and local municipalities, as well as specialty permits, easements, right of way, and environmental permits
    • Ability to engage with municipalities, Telco engineers, and construction/maintenance teams to obtain OSP Records, utility information, maps, and to research recorded documents
    • Conduct site surveys, interpret field notes for conduit/ cable engineering design in AutoCAD

    Desired Experience

    • Reading blueprints, conduit prints, and construction drawings
    • Minimum 1 year AutoCAD experience
    • Self-motivated with excellent time management
    • Strong communication skills
