- Night shift position, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, in a Progressive Care/Clinical Decision Unit (PCU/CDU)
- 20-bed inpatient overflow unit with a mixed level of care, including medical-surgical and step-down patients
- Primarily serves short-stay patients with a length of stay under 24 hours, with high patient turnover
- Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 depending on level of care
- All patients with telemetry indications are hardwired to bedside monitors
- EMR: Cerner
- Every other weekend required; no on-call responsibilities
- Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed
- Unit staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs per shift
- Candidates should have a positive, patient-focused attitude and work well in a team environment
- Scrub color: navy and/or white top, navy bottom, or all white
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
- One professional reference required (candidates from Florida or Missouri require two references
- Active NC or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for PCU RNs
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in progressive care or a related specialty
- Telemetry competency required
- Progressive care experience required; recent progressive care experience preferred
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
