    Job Summary

    Our Gas, Fuels & Chemicals Business provides services from consulting, design, full engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and commissioning/start-up of LNG facilities, Floating LNG facilities, gas processing and NGL fractionation, gasification/ gas to liquids, hydrogen and ammonia/fertilizers.

    Our knowledge, capabilities, and innovation include our proprietary PRICO technologies. This enables our team to assess and choose tailored solutions with greater quality and efficiency for our clients. The value chain spans natural gas and natural gas liquids, midstream, wholesale markets, power generation and utility segments.


    The Commissioning & Startup Engineer will support all the CSU (Commissioning and Start-Up) activities for an FLNG (Floating Liquified Natural Gas) project located in Singapore.

    The duration of the assignment is expected to be 24 months.

    The CSU Engineer functions as a technical specialist or in a lead role. With minimal supervision, applies advanced engineering techniques and analyses for problems and methods. Expands knowledge and skill set in area of discipline. May start to expand knowledge in other disciplines and/or functional areas.

    The CSU Engineer will participate in commissioning and startup activities in accordance with the CPM (Critical Path Method) schedule and within the established startup budget.

    Key Responsibilities


    Assists in the process of construction completion turnover to startup, startup turnover to operations, and final turnover to the client.


    Participates in the development and maintenance of a detailed startup schedule and detailed set of startup packages to track startup completion and progress.

    Maintains open communications and relationships with the project client.

    Assists in the management and monitoring of the startup budget and man hours.

    Participates in the development and execution of startup procedures as required by contract to coordinate the startup efforts.

    Assists in startup activities and major milestones (chemical cleaning, steam blow, demonstration tests, etc.)

    Assists in leading a coordinated operations control program ensuring good communication and the smooth execution of operational activities.

    Executes controls process for spares, consumables, outstanding work and material deliveries.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.

    Minimum of 5 years related work experience.

    All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

    Prior LNG Commissioning and Startup Experience Strongly Preferred

    Familiarity with Project Instructions Manual, Contract Documents and Startup Guidelines

    Familiarity with Division Policies

    Work Environment/Physical Demands

    Physical Demands:
    Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.

    Stand, Kneel, Bend, Stoop, Move, and Walk long distances in and around confined, cluttered places, and uneven areas.

    See and hear naturally or with correction.

    Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties.

    Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure.

    Requires repetitive movement.

    May require work above 5 feet in height.

    Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.

    Work up to a 12 hour shift doing hard physical labor in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
