Overview
Great American Paint is seeking 1099 Residential Painters to join our team for residential, commercial, and renovation projects. This role requires a self-motivated professional with ability to learn various painting techniques and skills. The ideal candidate will have a basic background in residential painting and the use of hand and power tools. As a painter level 1 or 2 you will be responsible for delivering finishes on time while adhering to safety standards and client specifications. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on diverse projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer as needed
- Execute painting tasks using airless paint spraying, brushes, rollers, and other hand tools
- Apply industrial painting techniques for large-scale or specialized projects
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following proper safety protocols on job sites
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project specifications are met or exceeded
Skills (Preferred but we are willing to train)
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Experience working on job sites with knowledge of safety procedures
- Handyman experience including maintenance tasks such as drywall repair or masonry work is a plus.
- Knowledge of residential painting processes and renovation projects is a plus
- Ability to adapt to various project requirements including remodeling or renovation work
