    POSITION SUMMARY:

    1-800-FLOWERS.COM, Inc is a leading provider of gifts designed to help customers express, connect, and celebrate. The company also operates BloomNet, an international floral service provider offering a broad range of products and services designed to help professional florists grow their business profitably; Napco, a resource for floral gifts and seasonal decor; and DesignPac Gifts, a manufacturer of gift baskets and towers.

    Reporting to the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition the Talent Acquisition Lead will drive Talent Acquisition strategies for the Food Brands across the Central Region. The Talent Acquisition Lead will work closely in partnership with Operations business leaders, HR and EHS business partners, and Seasonal Employment Processors. This position will also play a critical role in developing partnerships within the local community to increase awareness and visibility of open positions, establish talent pipelines, and increase brand awareness.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage full lifecycle recruiting process: sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews, extending offers, onboarding new hires
    • Provide a high-quality experience for every potential candidate through effective communication and consistent follow-through
    • Recommend new or revised policies and procedures that support corporate objectives and streamline the recruitment process
    • Develop strong relationships with key stake holders to ensure alignment with specific business priorities and outcomes
    • Build talent pipelines by developing partnerships with community organizations, local colleges and universities, employment agencies, and local human-interest groups
    • Leverage online recruiting resources, recent market developments, social media and other business resources to build talent pipelines
    • Partner with temporary staffing agencies for seasonal hiring needs
    • Organize and attends hiring events, career fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities
    • Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance
    • Work extended hours and/or weekends during peak hiring seasons

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 3-5 years of full lifecycle recruiting experience required, high volume recruiting experience preferred
    • Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience
    • Experience recruiting in a production, manufacturing or distribution environment with high seasonal demands preferred
    • Experience developing strong partnerships with internal and external customers
    • Ability to build rapport quickly, take a consultative approach and advise hiring managers and interviewers on recruiting best practices
    • Demonstrate and maintain a positive and professional manner
    • Manage time efficiently and effectively
    • Self-motivated to exceed expectations and drive results; ability to work independently
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
