    Connor Hospital Unit:

    Physical Therapist Patient Care Setting:

    • Primarily outpatient physical therapy, with occasional inpatient coverage for acute care and swing bed (rehab) settings.
    • Outpatient experience is preferred.

    Shift and Schedule:

    • Day shift, Monday through Friday.
    • 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch (per New York State labor law).
    • Occasionally scheduled Saturday coverage.

    Patient Population and Case Types:
    ● General Outpatient:
    o Pre- or post-operative orthopedic conditions (e.g., joint replacements, rotator cuff injuries, acute orthopedic injuries). o Chronic conditions (e.g., arthritis, chronic pain, balance issues). o Neurological conditions (e.g., CVA, TBI, Parkinson's Disease). o Sports-related injuries. ● Inpatient (occasional): o Acute care and swing bed rehabilitation cases

    ● No specific specialty required


    Case Volume:

    • 15 patient slots per 8-hour day (30 minutes each).
    • 1-hour slots allotted for new patient evaluations.

    Technology and Treatment Modalities:
    ● EMR System:
    Epic (workstations on wheels available for point-of-service documentation)

    ● Treatment Modalities:

    o Ultrasound, electrical stimulation, Saunder's mechanical traction, paraffin therapy. o Equipment includes treadmills, stationary bikes, and upper body ergometers (UBE).

    Certifications Required:

    • Active New York State Physical Therapy License.
    • Current BLS certification.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Outpatient physical therapy experience.
