Trailways of New York is Hiring Coach Bus Operators in New York, NY

When getting there matters, our modern well-equipped motor coaches carry passengers throughout New York State, and into Montreal, Toronto and Detroit, Michigan.

We have immediate employment opportunities for Coach Bus Drivers based out of the Port Authority Bus Terminal in NY. This candidate must have access to public transportation to report to work at the terminal on a daily basis.

The preferred candidate is a self-starter who manages their time safely and effectively with little supervision, and has:

• One or more years of experience operating a commercial vehicle, preferably a motor coach or school bus.
• A valid class B or A commercial driver's license.
• An unrestricted Passenger endorsement (ability to transport 15 passengers or more). Operators with a valid class A or B license without a Passenger endorsement may have an opportunity to obtain one as part of the 5-week training program.
• Availability to work a 5-or 6-day work week including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and D.O.T. physical
• A valid passport or enhanced driver's license for travel to Canada.
• A driving record that meets insurance standards.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• A love of operating a motor coach and the willingness to travel.
