    Peraton is seeking a Cyber Systems Administrator to support a critical program supporting our client located in Laurel, MD.
    In this role you will be responsible for the following:

    Manages the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure within an organization, including the physical network (e.g., LANs/WANs, servers, terminals) as well as server applications and software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle).

    Configures, installs, maintains, and upgrades server applications and hardware.

    Evaluates, tests, recommends, coordinates, monitors, and maintains information systems (IS) and cyber security policies, procedures, and systems, including access management for hardware, firmware, and software.

    Ensures that IS and cyber security plans, controls, processes, standards, policies, and procedures are aligned with IS standards and overall IS and cyber security.

    Identifies security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations, and suggests procedures to halt future incidents and improve security.

    Develops techniques and procedures for conducting IS and cyber security risk assessments and compliance audits, the evaluation and testing of hardware, firmware, and software for possible impact on system security, and the investigation and resolution of security incidents such as intrusion, frauds, attacks, or leaks.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience; Master's degree with 3 years of experience
    Active TS/SCI security clearance with Poly
    Five (5) years experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexit.
    Shall have experience diagnosing and troubleshooting large scale cloud

    computing systems including familiarity with distributed systems for storage and retrieval of data e.g.

    Hadoop, CASSANDRA, SCALITY, SWIFT, Gluster, Lustre, GPFS, Amazon S3, or another other comparable technology for big data management or High performance computing.

    Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex tasks, show a willingness to educate and train more junior technical resources.

    Understanding of the end to end Linux PXE/Network provisioning process to include familiarity with Anaconda Kickstart configurations, RAID controller utilities, TFTP images, and disk detect scripts.

    One of the following certifications are required:

    Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) Generalist
    AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
    AWS Certified Solutions ArchitectAssociate
    Red Hat Certified System Adminstrator (RHCSA)
    CDP Administrator - Private Cloud Base
    Elastic Certified Engineer
    Elastic Certified Observability Engineer
    Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS)
    Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
    AWS Certified SysOps AdministratorAssociate
    AWS DevOps Engineer Professional

    Experience with Kubernetes orchestration services and Docker images.
    Experience with log aggregation and search tools including ElasticSearch, logstatsh, filebeats, Grafana, and rsyslog
