    CACI is accepting applications for a Data Systems Engineer/Machine Learning Developer supporting the Engineering and Integration (E&I) branch at the Air and Marine Operations Center (AMOC)
    This position can be based in Riverside, CA or Colorado Springs, CO

    What You'll Get to Do:

    The engineer will work closely with the CACI Engineering & Integration (E&I) Manager as well as government Information Technology (IT) personnel to plan, design, and maintain a data mining, analysis, and analytics tool (Merlin) for the U.

    Customs and Border Protection (CBP) using data analytics and machine learning technology

    More About this Role:

    • Develop and maintain machine learning models for identifying suspect behavior in flight movement data.
    • Work closely with software developers, database administrators, and testers.
    • Assist with the integration of data from the Air and Marine Operations Surveillance System (AMOSS) and other external systems into the database and machine learning models.
    • Work with and assist E&I Team members as required.
    • Provide technical input to system Change Request.
    • Update Maintenance Manuals, User Manuals and other contract required documentation.
    • Provide Tier-2 support to CACI System Administrators.
    • Perform work related to Customer tasking as directed by CACI E&I Manager or Program Manager

    You'll Bring These Qualifications:

    • M.S
    or M.A
    degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics or comparable technical field (OR) B.S or B.A

    degree in in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or comparable technical field plus a minimum of three to five years of verifiable experience in data analytics.


    • Must be a US Citizen.
    • Must possess a US Government Secret Security Clearance (minimum).
    • Must be able to successfully pass a CBP Background Investigation.
    • Must have a solid understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, Machine Learning, and Object-Oriented design.
    • Must have experience with Web development languages such as Python, Ruby, or PHP

    Preferred Experience:

    • Experience with C++ or Java.
    • Experience with Elasticsearch.
    • Experience with Oracle Database.
    • Experience with Oracle Database Administration
