Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

GE Digital Holdings LLC seeks Staff Software Engineer (multiple positions) to design and program a component, feature and or feature set; Provide identify the scope of the work, provide initial estimate, and justify the estimate with facts; Engage in technical discussions; participate in technical designs and present technical ideas through white boarding; Execute in a fast-paced delivery mode and focus in delivering tasks to meet the product release goal; Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, software and product security, scalability; Seek and provide feedback on design and development; Demonstrate the ability to make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment; Drive design reviews, define interfaces between code modules, and apply existing technology to designs; Responsible for providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure; Provide guidance to a team of 5 to 7 cloud engineers with either planning and execution and/or design architecture using agile methodologies such as SCRUM; Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements and vision; Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project; Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix, and document problems, and implement preventive measure.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Position requires Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Engineering/Science or in STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) and 6 years of progressively responsible post-bachelor's degree related experience. The position also requires 4 years of experience in technical leadership with public cloud-AWS; 5 years of experience in developing software applications; 3 years of experience with automation, building CI/CD pipelines; 4 years of experience in software development and building applications.

100% remote position. Telecommuting is permitted for this role. When not telecommuting, must report to 19015 North Creek Parkway, Bothell, WA 98011.

The salary range for this position is $182,400 - $198,720. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience and their education.
