    OverviewD440 SSN Payload Launch ControlSSN Payload Launch Control - Tactical Electronic Systems is seeking candidates competent in electrical engineering and those able to manage projects independently.

    The Tactical Electronic Systems group is responsible for developing all electronic hardware for the control of horizontal and vertical payloads deployed on SSN Class Submarines, and their associated handling and launching systems.

    This involves in-house development of embedded control systems, requirements and specification development, circuit design and analysis, COTS evaluation and selection, prototyping and Engineering Development Model fabrication and test.

    QualificationsRequired:
    Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering (preferred); other engineering disciplines will be considered
    Internal candidates must be from organizations outside of Operations (Casciano/Gabriel)

    Skills
    Ability to obtain DOD Secret security clearance
    Self-motivated with the ability to think objectively and drive technical solutions to successful conclusion
    Knowledge of Systems Engineering lifecycle and standards
    Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to present technical/programmatic content to internal and external stakeholders
    Experience with IBM Rational Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (preferred for expereinced candidates)
