    As the Website Designer & Developer for Trajan Wealth, your role involves creating and maintaining our multiple websites. Your background in design and expertise in web development make you a valuable asset with a fresh perspective. You are interested in user behavior and use UX principles to guide your designs. You are skilled in both code efficiency and creative problem-solving. You have experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You thrive in a collaborative team environment and are willing to assist in other creative projects where needed.


    This position is located at our Scottsdale office. Potential for Hybrid opportunity after 6 months of employment.


    Duties and responsibilities


    Website Maintenance and Administration:

    • Site security and troubleshooting errors, such as diagnosing server errors, feed errors, user errors, missing content.
    • Working with our hosting company to ensure high-performance and availability and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
    • Overseeing and maintaining development, staging and production environments.
    • Writing clear, concise documentation and case updates.
    • Analyzing and testing sites/features for optimization and appearance.
    • Performing quality-control, such as cross-browser testing, including all common modern browsers, devices.

    Design and Develop:

    • This role will take on a website re-design with support from the marketing team. We are looking for a candidate who will make recommendations for the best solutions based on their experience.
    • The job may involve migrating the existing WordPress sites to a headless CMS platform, ensuring seamless functionality and preserving the design and content layout
    • Help create and implement website designs that combine aesthetics with UX/UI
    • Design and develop WordPress website and landing page designs by using a mobile-first design.

    Thought Leadership, Support, And Brainstorming:

    • Acts as a resource for the entire Marketing team, providing guidance on coding, analytics tracking, and user experience.
    • Stays abreast of best practices and changing trends within the web design and development fields.
    • Ensure Trajan brand standards are applied appropriately and according to marketing strategy.

    Qualifications

    Core Qualifications include:

    • 3+ years' experience in design and developing WordPress sites, Headless Experience Preferred
    • Advanced knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
    • Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, and Angular
    • Advanced knowledge of PHP back-end development.
    • Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
    • Experience with website optimization, including Core Web Vitals.
    • Understanding of the fundamentals of UI/UX, working knowledge of graphic design
    • Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG), responsive design, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
    • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with others, including identify potential bottlenecks in tasks and projects ahead of schedule.

    Desired experience includes:

    • Preferred candidate will have experience in both WordPress development and headless CMS systems, with the ability to handle complex migrations and optimize performance
    • Experience with Elementor, WPEngine, and Cloudflare.
    • Experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Knowledge of digital marketing and other major marketing channels.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development (WordPress with a focus on headless WordPress), or equivalent experience in related field
    • Experience working with Salesforce and/or experience work in a financial field is also a plus.
