    • Show initiative and flexibility to support the business results of the operations team, addressing both immediate requirements and preparing for future needs.
    • Take part in identifying the root causes of safety, product/process, quality, and productivity issues, and customer complaints, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.
    • Participate in and lead machine start-up, troubleshooting, shutdown, grade change events, and develop work instructions for basic maintenance tasks.
    • Support overall team involvement, communicate to prevent recurring errors within and across crews, ensuring a smooth transition for the next crew.
    • Be fully trained in all machine modules, understanding and applying all training elements including resource sharing module.
    • Aid in developing a training plan to address team-wide deficiencies, analyzing both self and teammates to support the business effectively. Provide training to fellow crew members and offer performance feedback.
    • Receive and respond to performance review feedback, identifying development opportunities and managing personal growth plans.
    • Give feedback and recognition to team members to enhance performance.
    • Use lean principles to identify and solve problems.
    • Provide input for equipment and process improvement initiatives.
    • Initiate work requests and document reliability activity in the SAP system.

    Shift Details

    • The LaGrange Mill operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
    • 12-hour rotating shifts: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 6:00 am.
    • Rotates between day and night shifts every two weeks.
    • Associates work three 12-hour shifts one week and four 12-hour shifts the next week.
    • Occasional overtime is required.
    • Meeting the defined work schedule is a basic requirement.

    In a Process Operator role, your focus will be on achieving success with consumers and the market while prioritizing safety, mutual respect, and human dignity. To excel in this position, you should meet the following requirements:

    • Be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
    • Hold a state and/or US Department of Education accredited high school diploma, GED Grade 12 certificate.
    • Possess at least 1 year of continuous work experience.
    • Have basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and good math skills.
    • Be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
    • Successfully pass pre-employment assessments as well as drug and background screenings.
    • Pass a post-offer/pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT).

    The Process Operator will report to the Asset Team Leader and receive work directions from the leader and Operations Shift Leader. This role involves operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining high-speed machinery used in nonwoven material manufacturing. It also entails ensuring the superior quality of the produced material and supporting mill operations on a rotating shift to meet short-term goals and future vision objectives.
