- Analyze, inspect, maintain, and repair equipment in facility
- Must have knowledge of CMMS systems to manage projects, repairs, and PMs
- Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, schematics to determine scope of work
- Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery per drawings in large plant settings to ensure minimum downtime.
- Must be able to utilize forklifts, scissor lifts, chain falls to complete large scale projects.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis, devise solutions, implement improvements, and establish effective prevention measures for problems that arise with equipment
- Maintain facility equipment and keep meticulous records of equipment performance, equipment/part failures, machine downtime, and solutions/corrective actions to problems – create and maintain a detailed and accessible database of Lessons Learned
- Purchase spare/replacement parts for equipment, track purchase requests, maintain spare part safety stock, etc.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures / Work Instructions for using production equipment; train and assess other employees in safe and proper usage of machines
- Participate in planning, purchasing, installation, and commissioning of new equipment
- Guide, train, and coach equipment technicians in proper machine usage
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, mechatronics, or electrical engineering; automation control; or other related field or equivalent experience
- 3-10 years of experience in equipment maintenance (2+ years of experience managing automation equipment)
- Upon starting position, ability to travel to China for one month for solar industry orientation and training
- Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Proficient in mechanical / electrical system design principles and Servo control
- Proficient in CAD drawings and programming software
- Strong experience with automation equipment (e.g., welding machines, laminating machines, cutting machines, etc.)
- Strong sense of responsibility and strong communication and teamwork capabilities
- Excellent creative problem-solving abilities

As an Equipment Engineer in a highly automated facility, you will be responsible for analyzing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment to uphold and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness in the manufacturing plant.
