To learn more about Baptist Health, visit us at The Mental Health Telehealth Technician (MHTT) provides assistance with telehealth and patient care at the direction of the psychiatrists, nurse practitioner, director of nursing, and nursing supervisor. These duties include but are not limited to; assistance using electronic devices for psychiatrists providing rounding, consults, and other areas of patient care needs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, assisting with admission and discharge procedures, orientation of new patients to the unit environment, and other care functions as assigned by the psychiatrist, nurse practitioner, nurse manager Charge Nurse. Patient populations served range in adults? age from 19 years through patients in the later stages of life.Description
    • High School education or GED
    • Medical/behavioral health assistant/technician preferred.
    • BLS and SECURE within 30 days of employment.
    • Proficient knowledge and skills to use electronic devices (i.e. iPad/tablet, computers, email, phone)
    • Requires use of personal vehicle for transportation around BMC campus/campuses
    • Requires stable physical and mental health Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
    • Frequently cope with stressful/rapidly changing situations.
    • Knowledge of body mechanics and basic safety, principles of physical care and comfort.
    • Medical terminology training preferred.
    • Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
