    ***This is a Fully Onsite working arrangement at our Silicon Valley, CA location.***

    About you

    We are seeking a Research Director that will instrumental in growing commercial real estate business. Responsible for the proactive creation and implentation of market research objectives and goals by providing leading-edge, thought provoking research and analysis of market data for use in the production of market reports, presentations, and research projects within the market.

    In this role, you will...
    • Set a strategic direction for the Research team, ensuring needs to offices and brokers within the market are met. Responsible for providing direction, leading and motivating direct report team, including, providing training and coaching. Sets the team standards and policies on quality assurance and quality checks.
    • Ensure Research team is providing reliable statistical information of office and retail properties including vacancy rates, rental rates, lease and sale comparable, cap rates, absorption trends, construction and renovation trends.
    • Collection and analysis of market data and collaborate in the writing of quarterly and annual market reports adhering to corporate standards. Additional report, article and forecast writing on an as-needed basis.
    • Develop close working relationship with business publications and organizations to ensure Colliers is recognized as a leading resource for agencies and that Colliers is current on the latest trends, development strategies, and city agendas.
    • Act as a resource within the market to brokers and staff involved in special projects requiring compilation of data, i.e., ownership data, zoning, land use, property sales, etc., and provides demographic information in partnership with Colliers GIS Location intelligence.
    • Participate in local office sales/leasing, and tenants in the market meetings. Represent local office research staff in market research management calls.
    What you'll bring
    • 7+ years' experience in a research role. Experience in the Commercial Real Estate Industry.
    • Management experience is required. Ability to build relationships with the team and clients. Ability to manage vendors and vendor relationships.
    • Relevant College Degree required.
    • Advanced Microsoft applications experience (Excel, Word).
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and results-oriented attitude with strong research, analytical skills.
    • Ability to shift priorities and deliver projects on a timely basis, well organized and with excellent time management skills and ability to collaborate with top level executives.

    Area/Location Specific: Silicon Valley, CA

    Approximate Salary Range for this Role: $101,850 to $210,600 annually

    Our hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
