Luke's University Health Network is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join our growing team of 41 young and dynamic physicians.
Our team is shaping the future of gastroenterology services in the region through the development of new and innovative programs and brand-new state of the art endoscopy centers.

In addition to patient care, the department also supports and trains medical students, internal medicine residents and gastroenterology fellows.
Luke's University Health Network (SLUHN) is a fully integrated, regional, non-profit network of more than 20,000 employees providing services at 12 hospitals and 300+ outpatient sites.
With annual net revenue greater than $3 billion, the Network's service area includes 11 counties:Dedicated to advancing medical education, St. Luke's is the preeminent teaching hospital in central-eastern Pennsylvania. In partnership with Temple University, St. Luke's created the Lehigh Valley's first and only regional medical school campus.

Provide cost-effective, high-quality care based on best practice evidenced based medicine.
Make best efforts to adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines that have been approved by the medical staff.
Evaluates and implements patient health care needs. Performs routine health maintenance activities for new and established patients.Coordinates patient care and family counseling with public and mental health agencies as appropriate.
Teaches wellness habits and educates patients on prevention of potential health problems or method of dealing with present problems.
Provides information and materials relating to patient health care needs.Maintains knowledge of current medical practices and skills.
Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.
Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.
Rarely lifting with assistance, up to 100 pounds. Graduate of an accredited medical school and completion of residency and/or fellowship in area of specialty.TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Board Certified/Eligible in the area of specialty by the appropriate medical board.
