    The AERO Specialties Production Manager position is responsible for overall management, direction, and coordination of production operations. The Production Manager is also responsible for meeting budgetary requirements, production schedules and aiding in new product and process development. Supervises all departments within manufacturing, including assembly, fabrication, production planning, manufacturing, and engineering. The position is additionally responsible for the maintenance of the facility.

    And someone who can:
    • Coordinate the execution of manufacturing schedules based on sales requirements and plant capacity
    • Determine plant policies consistent with company policies and directs and supervises the application of such policies to the plants' manufacturing operations
    • Confer with plant personnel on the application of methods and production standards, incentive rates and standards, and adherence to safety programs
    • Review all recommendations for special machinery and works closely with product and process research and development program changes
    • Oversee the maintenance of buildings and equipment, and plant security and protection
    • Coordinate long-range plant expansion, conversion, and equipment planning
    • Review and approve recommendations of subordinates in matters of personnel and/or rate changes
    • Ensure processes are in accordance with EPA regulations
    • Ensure working conditions are in accordance with local and federal (OSHA) regulations
    Other Responsibilities:
    • CIT: Establish standards and procedures for continuous improvement
    • MRP system implementation team member: work closely with other department managers towards the successful implementation of the MRP system
    • Maintain the currency with respect to technical and supervisory skills by attending training classes, special technical and administration courses; seminars, exhibits and trade shows are needed
    Requirements

    What qualifies someone for this position?
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in leading plant operations and manufacturing/industrial engineering
    • Familiarity with EPA and OSHA regulations
    • Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills
    • Computer skills: MRP system experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Possess a valid in-state driver's license and an acceptable safe driving record
