- We are offering loan repayment for this position with a 2-year commitment and a quarterly hygiene incentive. We will also pay or reimburse for licensing fees incurred three months prior to hire. There is an extra $3.00 more per hour for working PM hours (referred to as shift differential pay) at the Maplewood clinic.
- Provide comprehensive dental care with a focus on the health needs of the patients
- Perform preliminary and existing charting of the oral cavity and surrounding structures
- Perform initial and periodic examinations and assessments
- Formulate a dental hygiene treatment plan in coordination with a dentist's treatment plan
- Complete debridement, prophylaxis, and nonsurgical periodontal therapy; place subgingival medicaments.
- Provide nutritional counseling
- Administer nitrous oxide inhalation analgesia and monitor patient
- Apply topical medications including fluoride varnishes and desensitizing agents
- Make referrals to dentists, medical doctors, and other practitioners in consultation with a dentist
- AM shift: Monday-Thursday 7:20am-2:30pm and Friday 7:20-12:00pm
- PM shift: Monday-Thursday 2:20pm-9:30pm and Friday 12:50pm-5:30pm
- A typical Hygienists schedule is a combination of two AM and two PM shifts, and alternating full day Fridays.
- Dental Hygienist license
